Adapters can extend the life of an Electrode Holder by providing a changeable socket for the electrode. If the taper of the adaptor wears out, simply replace the adapter instead of the entire holder. In some cases, adapters can provide additional height, a 30/45/90 angle, or can be used to convert the taper of the holder to a different size taper. Many adapters are hex-shaped for easy removal; angled adapters are not made with the hex-shape, due to angle. Both styles are available with tapers or threads.
